Trent Durham Women’s Support Group is proud to present the annual production of Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues, on Saturday February 6th at 5pm!
Join us for both a dinner and a show for the low price of $20 a ticket or $15 each, when you buy two or more. Ticket sales will take place through our Support Group members, and at a ticket booth operating outside of the school’s library Monday to Friday from 11 AM to 4 PM.
This event provides an opportunity for TrentU Durham to be involved in a worldwide movement designed to celebrate and honour women, as well as spread consciousness about the hardships that women continue to face. It is important to confront inequality and to challenge discriminatory beliefs and actions that are routinely and often unthinkingly directed towards women. Our goal is to raise awareness and inspire action to change long-standing societal discrimination against women.
The event will feature dinner, a show, a raffle, and information booths from local women’s charities. We will be donating all profits from our event to local non-profit women’s organizations. It is also an opportunity to showcase the merits of Trent University, as each year the event attracts over 100 guests, including people from our local community and families of performers and students.
Come join us for an evening filled with the altruistic spirit of TrentU Durham’s community!
