Hey everybody! Since it is summer, I am sure most of you have been itching for a good book. The problem is- finding a book that will satisfy your summer needs. Well, lucky for you, your summer book searching has become a little bit easier because I’ve compiled a list of my favourite summertime reads!
#1 We Were Liars by E. Lockhart
We Were Liars is an excellent summer read because it follows the details of various summers of a girl who harbors a dark secret. It offers a shocking and twist ending that will make you want to re-read the book over and over again this summer!
#2 Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon
Everything, Everything is a very light and easy read that you will not be able to put down! It follows the life of a young teenage girl who suffers from “Severe Combined Immunodeficiency” which basically means that she is allergic to the world. The book ventures on a journey of teenage romance and also a summer vacation. Perfect book to read while lying in the sun!
#3 All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven
All the Bright Places follows the love story of two teens who are in vulnerable moments of their lives. I read this book last summer and thoroughly enjoyed it! It’s an exhilarating and heart wrenching love story that also covers coming of age and mental health related themes.
#4 Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
Eleanor & Park follows the story of two star-crossed sixteen year old lovers and their experiences at having a first true love. It is excellent at sharing feel good moments as well as sad life moments. Overall, a really relaxing book to read while sipping cold lemonade by the pool.
#5 To the Stars by Molly McAdams
If you’re into pure romance and all the cheesiness it brings I suggest that you read this book! To the Stars presents the story of two young teenagers who fall in love but end up on a different paths. Will fate bring them together again? Read the book to find out!
I hope you’ve enjoyed my summer reading list! Leave me a message below if you’ve read any of these books or if you’re considering it. I would love to hear from you.
