I don’t know about you, but I am getting really excited for classes. Next weekend is Labour Day, and then there’s Orientation and classes. There is only one more full week of summer left before I start my post-graduate education, and the closer it gets, the more I’m looking forward to it.
I am expectant—I can’t wait to see my friends, and meet my classmates, and find out who else is in the HR program with me—but also a little hesitant. What if I don’t like my courses or my profs? What if the math I keep jokingly complaining about is actually too much for me? What if I don’t make new friends? These are the sorts of worries I’ve had many times before, marking a new school year. And, as usual, the excitement to be back in class, and at TrentU Durham, far outweigh any of my nerves.
Because there really is so much for me to look forward to this year. I get to try a completely new set of classes that I’ve never taken before, use a different part of my brain than I normally do, get to meet new people and interact with a part of the student population that I am not as familiar with—and that’s just to do with my upcoming courses. I’m looking forward to the Orientation on September 6, and the clubs and activities starting up again; I’m looking forward to finding a gym buddy and getting active. I’m looking forward to continuing on the Blog for the year, and being on the Board of Directors for the first time.
I am so excited for my September start that I’ve already paid the first instalment of my tuition for this year! I’m not getting OSAP, or the tuition grant, so I spent the summer saving money in order to pay for school myself this year.
Tuition payments are due on September 1, 2016. Check out the Financial Aid page of the website for more information on OSAP and check out your Statement of Account in myTrent to see what you owe and how to pay.
