Hey everyone! Spring is finally here! The weather is finally getting warmer and the grass a little greener. As this time of year approaches, however, it also means that final exams are right around the corner. Both an exciting and nerve racking time, am I right? It is never too early to start studying for exams so I figured I’ll give you some easy tips and tricks.
- Make a planner.
One way to being studying is to make a detailed planner. The hardest part of studying is definitely starting so I suggest that you write down what subject you’re going to study each day and for how long. This way you can build a routine and stay on track!
- Find a quiet location with no distractions!
Let’s face it, when it comes to studying just about anything sounds more entertaining. So I encourage you to find a quiet study space with no distractions (yes, that means your phone has got to go!).
- Be an active studier.
The most helpful tip I’ve gotten is to be active when you’re studying. This means that you should not be passively reading the material. Instead, try to engage with the material you’re reading. This can done by taking notes, making connections to common themes and even by quizzing yourself!
- Break up your time.
Studying for six hours straight is no fun and not helpful at all. Give your mind time to soak in all the information you’ve just been studying by taking 10-15 minute breaks in between each study session.
- Be positive!
Studying for multiple exams can become very overwhelming! I encourage you to approach the situation with an open mind and try to think positively. The most important thing is to believe in your capabilities and the rest will work itself out!
I hope these tips provide information to help you ace your final exams!
Until next time…
