It’s the Easter Beagle, TrentU!

Written by: Aimee MacPherson

It’s that time of year again when spring is upon us, and the snow and bad weather are on their way out of our lives (although since we live in Canada, that time is short-lived). It’s the first sign that summer is coming, but also the first sign that exams are on their way. It’s Easter, which means that stores get filled with brightly-coloured, egg-shaped candies and rabbit-shaped chocolates for the occasion. Easter will be right in the middle of exam season this year, so make sure to take some time to yourself to watch a feel-good film and eat way too many sweets.

Not sure what to watch? No worries, there’s a list below that has some suggestions of films and shows that I recommend to destress and celebrate:

  • It’s the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown (1974)
  • Bunny Drop (Anime – TV/ 2011)
  • She’s the Man (2006) (Amanda Bynes; Channing Tatum)
  • Hop (2011)
  • The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005) (Blake Lively; America Ferrera; Alexis Bledel; Amber Tamblyn)
  • 50 First Dates (Drew Barrymore; Adam Sandler)
  • Rise of the Guardians (2012)
  • Bridesmaids (2011) (Kristen Wiig; Maya Rudolph)
  • Clueless (1995) (Alicia Silverstone; Stacey Dash; Brittany Murphy)
  • Forrest Gump (1994) (Tom Hanks)
  • The Pursuit of Happiness (2006) (Will & Jaden Smith)
  • Friends (TV – 1994) (Jennifer Aniston; Courteney Cox; Lisa Kudrow; David Schwimmer; Matthew Perry; Matt LeBlanc)
  • Gilmore Girls (TV – 2000) (Lauren Graham; Alexis Bledel)

And don’t forget that the campus is closed today (Friday, April 14) for Good Friday, so take the day to veg out and take a break from exam prep!
